Wedding Photos You Might Not Think of, but Definitely Need!

Every couple dreams of having amazing wedding photos from their special night that they can look back on for the years to come. That's why it's so important to create a "shot list" of pictures you want to give to your photographer before the wedding. When you're creating your shot list, don't forget to include these unique ideas for your photographer to capture!

  • Individual pictures of the couples' grandparents, as well as individual pictures of the couples' parents. These are usually the most special people at the wedding, besides the couple, that don't get photographed often. A nice picture of the bride's parents by themselves, the groom's parent's by themselves, etc, would be cherished by all family members.

  • Don't forget to have portraits done of the bride(s), groom(s), and the couple together. These shots don't take much time, but a simple portrait with minimal posing is a classic.

  • The wedding details is another simple shot to capture! This could include the invitation suite, rings, ring boxes, shoes, garters, or any other little things that don't usually get seen by many people.

  • The couple's first kiss is, of course, a must have. BUT ask for your officiant to step to the side. This ensures a beautiful shot of the first kiss with no one or nothing in the background!

  • A unique way for the bride(s) to include their soon-to-be Mother-in-Law in the getting ready process would be to do a first look with her. It's common to see brides do first looks with their bridesmaids or father, this is a special moment for the Mother-in-Law to be included (especially if she doesn't have any daughters).

These are just a few things you could add to your shot list to capture so many different aspects of your wedding. Don't hesitate to reach out to your photographer for other unique photo ideas!
